Affleck Delariva publishes articles about home and interior topics on affleck-delariva.ca. This policy explains what information reaches our site, how it is used, who can see it, how long it is kept, and the choices you have.
What reaches our site and how
You can browse our articles without telling us who you are. The information that reaches our servers comes from a few places:
- Web requests. When your browser loads a page, our hosting environment and content delivery cache record standard server logs. These logs typically include your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer, and your browser and device information (user agent).
- Comments. If you choose to leave a comment on a post, WordPress asks for your name and email address, and may allow an optional website field. WordPress also records the IP address and browser user agent submitted with the comment to help address spam and technical issues.
- Administrator access. WordPress sets session cookies for the site’s administrator. Visitor accounts are not offered, and registration is closed.
- Email. If you write to us, we will receive the contents of your message and the email address you use.
How we use information
We use the information above to publish and manage the site, deliver pages quickly and reliably, keep the site secure and debug problems, and to host and display comments that you choose to post. If you email us, we use your message to respond and to handle your request.
Cookies and local storage

- Our hosting provider and content delivery/cache service, which process requests and keep server logs to operate the site.

How long we keep it
Server and CDN logs are kept for a limited period to operate the service and investigate performance, abuse, or security issues, after which they are deleted or archived according to our providers’ standard practices. Published comments are kept while the article remains online unless you ask us to remove them or we remove them as part of moderation. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle your request and maintain reasonable records.
Your choices and rights
You can browse without accepting commenter cookies by not posting comments. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You can exercise these rights by contacting us. If we cannot resolve a concern, you may have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children’s information
This site is for a general audience and not directed to children. Do not submit comments or personal details if you are a child under the age where consent is required in your location.
